Baseball Skills Training – Winter 2026
Winter baseball training for ages 6–12! Build fundamentals, agility & confidence with Coach Bryan at Club OODAZU. Runs Wednesdays Dec 10th – Feb 11th
This is a 55 minute, once a week program (8 sessions) on Wednesdays at either 4pm or 5pm, based on your child’s age group. The age group should be chosen based on the age your child is at the time of the first session. Please enter your child’s name in the “Ticket Holder” field at check-out.
Runs Wednesdays from Dec 10th – Feb 11th (excluding weeks of Dec 22nd & 29th).
Program Overview
Club OODAZU and Coach Bryan Odakura are excited to present the Winter Baseball Program @ Club OODAZU!
This structured baseball development program is designed for young athletes ages 6–12.
The program combines Club OODAZU’s state-of-the-art facilities with Coach Bryan’s expert baseball instruction to deliver a fun, skill-focused winter training experience. Each session emphasizes movement, teamwork, and confidence-building through baseball fundamentals and engaging drills. It’s a great opportunity for beginners to be introduced to the game and for returning players to sharpen their skills, get extra reps, and prepare for the upcoming spring season.

Through structured instruction and age-appropriate games, the Winter Baseball Program aims to teach teamwork, sportsmanship, and focus — helping each player grow both on and off the field.
At Club OODAZU, our goal is to make baseball FUN while helping every player learn and improve!
About Coach Bryan
Coach Bryan is an experienced outpatient orthopedic physical therapist with over 11 years in the field. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University, later completing an orthopedic residency and becoming a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Bryan is also a proud father of two boys, ages 5 and 8, who love playing all sports. He currently coaches baseball at DHYS and brings his clinical expertise and passion for athletics to his baseball and speed/coordination/power classes. Bryan is dedicated to helping young athletes develop strong movement mechanics, coordination, and confidence—laying the foundation for both athletic success and lifelong physical health.
Program Format
Each 55-minute session includes:
- Skill Development: Instruction and drills focused on throwing, catching, fielding, and baseball awareness.
- Game Play: Small-group activities and scrimmages using wiffle or smoosh balls to reinforce learned skills in a safe, engaging environment.
- Age-Appropriate Coaching: Separate groups for Ages 6–9 and Ages 10–12 to ensure targeted instruction.
All sessions are led by Coach Bryan and qualified instructors, maintaining a 1:10–12 coach-to-player ratio for personalized teaching and attention.
Program Details
Intro to Baseball (Ages 6–9)
A fun, beginner-friendly introduction to baseball that focuses on the basics of the game.
Key Focus Areas:
- Understanding baseball rules and field positions
- Learning proper throwing and catching techniques
- Developing hand-eye coordination and swing fundamentals
- Playing small games with “smoosh balls” for safe, engaging fun
Skills Development (Ages 10–12)
An intermediate program designed to help players strengthen existing skills and develop consistency.
Key Focus Areas:
- Throwing mechanics and accuracy
- Fielding techniques (infield & outfield)
- Hitting fundamentals (space and equipment permitting)
- Speed, agility, and baseball-specific movement drills
- Controlled scrimmage play using wiffle or smoosh balls
