ZU Hoops is Club OODAZU’s recreational basketball league — built for young athletes who want to play more, develop faster, and have fun doing it. The name “ZU” reflects the energy, movement, and limitless potential we aim to create for every player.

Practice · no official practice but every ZU Hoops registration includes complimentary access to our Basketball Train & Play sessions on Thursday evenings, so your athlete can get extra reps and skill work between games at no additional cost.

Is ZU Hoops right for beginners?
Absolutely. ZU Hoops is designed for all skill levels. Players are grouped by age and skill so everyone is competing at an appropriate level. If your child has never played before, this is a great place to start.
Can siblings come to practices and games?
Absolutely. Club OODAZU has an indoor playground for younger siblings, comfortable seating throughout the facility, and a full cafe — so the whole family can come and everyone has somewhere to be.
What is the time commitment?
It varies by season. Winter season includes one weekday practice and one Saturday game per week. Summer, Fall & Spring are games only. Check the Current Season section above for this season’s specific format.
When are schedules released?
Final team assignments and schedules are shared before the first session of each season, once registration is complete and teams are formed.
Can my child play up an age group?
Players must register for the age group matching their age at the start of the season. If you’d like to request playing up, contact us before registering and we’ll review it on a case-by-case basis.
How do I get the member or volunteer coach discount?

What should my child bring?
Athletic clothing, basketball shoes, and a refillable water bottle. We provide all game equipment. Hair should be tied back and no jewelry for safety.
